Troja aka Trideep Roy wears many hats in the music industry. As a DJ he has been performing for over 5 years after
first starting out at University in Scotland and has played alongside revered artists in the industry such as Parra For
Cuva, El_Txef_A, Atish to name a few. Having played in clubs and open airs across Europe and India, his journey has
stretched across continents and in the process distinctly shaped his influences. His arsenal is equipped with a wide
variety of tastes and sounds ranging from Ethnic House to more Deeper & Darker shades of Techno.
Troja’s DJ sets tend to operate with warm melodic influences and heavy basslines creating a unique sound that is deep
but still pumping enough to get a party started.. and going way passed sunrise. His style and taste continuously
adapts to fit different audiences, settings, moods and states of mind. Troja embraces the dancefloor with a dynamic
and honest approaching sparking it up with forward thinking music everytime. It’s hard to miss the genuine love for
what he is doing and feel it feedback to his audience, fueling energy and passion on to the dancefloors. It is this passion
that has found him making mixes for reputed online music magazines such as Klangextase & Decoded Magazine &
Wild City. These also give a sense of his variety & range.
As a producer, his first track ‘Mantra’ was received the world over with great acclaim, and has even found its way into
the record bags of celebrated artists such as YokoO, Sabo, David Hohme, Hraach, Rafael Castillgone to name a few. It
was even featured on Frank McWeeney aka French Toast’s DJ Mag radio show. He is now working closely
with mentors such as Affect! (Moodmusic), Bonaca (Make You Dance Records) & Sabo (Sol Selectas) to explore
the full range of his production capabilities & sound. Despite this, his habit of special edits still lives on, adding certain
exclusivity to his DJ sets.
While with Troja, Trideep now focuses more on melodic house and techno, he is also one half of Botief, a collaborative
that delves more on producing more slow/ethnic house music. Botief is part of the Talavera Records family and work
closely with other artists on the roster such as Zone+ & Usif, Nato and The Soul Brothers. Since its launch, the label
has received much acclaim for their distinctive sound and style.

and also works in A&R for Raketen Musik
