For nearly two decades, Nikshith Shetty, professionally known as Knique, has been an important figure in Bangalore’s underground music scene as a DJ and educator. His well-researched sets explore Detroit house and techno, unfolding like aural stories that highlight the genre’s culture. Prioritizing musicality, he blends soothing chords, soulful harmonies, and understated drum patterns with deep basslines and dub-infused textures to create a sound rooted in soul and simplicity. Knique started Booth Without Borders in 2022, an infrequent genre space dedicated to true underground culture.
