I was there this year with a group from India. Unlike last year’s rainy scene, the weather was perfect this time. By the time we arrived at the venue around 2 PM, the place was already packed with people all ages!! Body & SOUL is kids friendly, many people participating by family

For those who aren’t familiar with Body & SOUL

“Started in 1996 and originally held every Sunday afternoon at Club VINYL in NYC, Body & SOUL is a party that has influenced and helped shape the global deep house and underground dance music scene. FRANCOIS K., DANNY KRIVIT, and JOE CLAUSSELL—three of New York City’s legendary DJs—bring their individual styles to a unique back-to-back set, creating an open-minded, genre-blending sound.” From: https://www.bodyandsoul-japan.com/

Doors opened at 12 PM, and the DJs played back-to-back until the last song at 9 PM. In the evening become more epic and dramatic with the lighting by Ariel!

The excitement of seeing all three DJs perform together—a dream come true for many—has kept the popularity of Body & SOUL alive and growing. The party is now even touring internationally

One of the highlights was when Joe Claussell dropped Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” – the crowd erupted, excited the genre-defying spirit of the set.
Later, when “There But for the Grace of God Go I” was played, it brought back the nostalgic feeling of my club-going days in Tokyo .. New York.
The floor filled with stories of all kinds in the crowd, and the feeling of being united in uplifting emotions is one of the best parts of House Music.

“It was beautiful and truly touched my soul. Full of positivity, love and happiness!
It reminded me that music isn’t about dancing the loudest or standing closest to the DJs but about moving, feeling and truly enjoying yourself in the music !” By N.P. ( India )
