Our podcast featured James Owen, a Melbourne based DJ and Producer on the month of July. James Owen’s musical journey has been an eclectic one spanning two decades. Teaching himself how to play the piano, he composed his first song by the age of 7 and completed three albums by the age of 15. James soon outgrew his classical foundations and began experimenting with various forms of electronic music production under the alias ‘Owen Vibe’. In late 2014, he began performing his first few gigs as a DJ in some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues. James has recently held several respectable residencies in various bars and clubs with his signature deep house & minimal sound. Over the past year, James has had releases on Vandalism Musique (Spain), Conceptual Records (Moldova), DP-6 Records (Russia), with more exciting releases on their way.
