Review: Krywald & Farrer ‘Persies Edits 002’

Krywald & Farrer are on a roll! I’ve been into their sound ever since I went to my first Percolate party, the party you just can’t ignore in London Town. Krywald & Farrer have been the beloved residents there since it all began four years ago. And their skills on the decks and in the studio have rocketed up ever since.

Adept of all things House music infused Afrobeat, Jazz and Disco, the pair are just as adept working a simmering room up to boiling point as keeping the heat with vibey rollers.

The last couple of years have seen them release on Rob Da Bank’s Silver Bear Records, Gottwood’s Gottwax, and they’ve just started a cheeky edits project. Persies edits are proper dancefloor nuggets, aimed at making you move and nothing else. Vinyl only white label with only 300 press of each. So you have to grab them while they’re hot!

The latest instalment has ‘Ah Ndiya’ on the A side, afro mega groove guaranteed to make you move even if you don’t want to. And the B side ‘Oye Come Va’ is more of a tropical warmer, perfect to kick off your sunny afternoon.

Good for dancing!
